TETON Sports Celsius XL -25-Degree Flannel Lined Sleeping Bag, Green, Right Zip

This sleeping bag is well made and very comfortable. Love the extra space. However, even when in the stuff sack this bag is huge! Definitely NOT remotely possible to backpack with. For $40 it is a great, giant, heavy sleeping bag for everything but backpacking. Very warm!

The nights on top of our Colorado Mountains can be extremely envigorating, especially around 200am in the morning. These bags keep us extremely warm and allows us to receive a good nights sleep without our teeth chattering all night long. HA!
Would recommend it for colder locations.

Temperature ratings on sleeping bags normally are their survival ratings. For comfort I add another 20 to 30 degrees. When I saw the -25 degree rating on this sleeping bag, its size and the flannel lining, I was impressed. Then I saw the price! I ordered two, one left and one right hand zipper. I’ve now used this bag on a deer and elk hunt and it met or exceeded all expectations. While individual metabolism is a factor in comfort, we had overnight lows in the teens on several nights and above 30 degrees one night. Results? Total comfort. This bag accomodates my 6’2″ height easily and it is very roomy, yet long enough to cover my head when needed. Two minor issues: zipper and bulk. The zipper is certainly adequate, but, material tends to bunch up if the zipper tract isn’t kept clear. The stuff sack could be a tad bigger, otherwise, getting this bag back into it is a challenge, but, it does have some minor compression with the external straps once it is back in the sack. Rather than roll the bag as it came from the factory, we found stuffing it was a bit easier. Oh, and that flannel lining? Boy is it nice to get into a sleeping bag that doesn’t chill you until it warms up. So, really, it is a 4 1/2 star rating. I’m totally satisfied and impressed with this bag for camping/hunting in cold weather.
